Pre-hospital Trauma Life Support

Pre-hospital Trauma Life Support

The Pre-hospital Trauma Life Support Course is a comprehensive NAEMT education program for EMS practitioners. This 16-hour course is designed for EMTs, paramedics, nurses, physician assistants, physicians and other prehospital providers. Learn about prehospital care, gain specific knowledge and skills related to assessment and care of trauma patients, and increase the probability that patients will survive a traumatic event. The PHTLS course is scenario based, with lectures and interactive skills stations designed to impart knowledge and proficiency, dependent on level of licensure. At EMA, scenarios will be conducted in the simulated training lab. Upon successful completion of this course, students receive a certificate of completion, a wallet card recognizing them as PHTLS providers for 4 years, and 16 hours CE Credit.

Classes are scheduled for groups and corporate trainings upon request. Please call 208-996-9248 to schedule a course.
