What will you do when you come across a family member, a friend or fellow rider on the trail who is injured? Be the one that knows what to do in an emergency situation. You can make the difference in the outcome of an unexpected emergent event. EMA’s Mountain Bike First Aid course is designed to empower and teach you how to take care of yourself and others while in a recreational setting. After the lecture portion is completed, you will get out on the trail and ride! Realistic training scenarios will be met along the way. This course covers many topics including orthopedic injuries, splinting, wound management, hemorrhage control, environmental emergencies, CPR and other common medical emergencies you may find on the trails. This course is also a great way to meet local riders and make our community safer by being prepared to help those in need.
