What will you do when a family member, a friend or a fellow backpacker is injured on the trail?
Be the one that knows what to do in an emergency situation!
You can make the difference in the outcome of an unexpected emergency event. Emergency Medicine Academy’s Backpacking Wilderness First Aid Course is designed to empower and teach you how to care for yourself and others while in a recreational setting.
This course covers many topics including orthopedic injuries, splinting, wound management, hemorrhage control, environmental emergencies, CPR and other common medical emergencies you may find on the trail. After the lecture portion is completed, you will get out on the trail to practice your skills in realistic training scenarios.
This course is also a great way to meet others with shared interests, improve community safety, help those in need, and prepare for unexpected emergency events.
